🎯 Best fishing days and times

Based on weather conditions and moon phases, the following days and times are ideal for sport fishing:

Tuesday 15th April : Light cloud and pleasant temperatures make this an excellent day for coarse and carp fishing, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.

Saturday 19 April : The bright and sunny conditions are perfect for fishing for predatory fish, especially during the early morning hours.

Sunday April 20 : The light cloud cover and higher temperatures offer good opportunities for fishing for various fish species throughout the day.

🐟 Fish species and bait advice

Whitefish: With rising water temperatures, bream and roach become more active. Use maggots or casters as bait, and fish in the morning hours.

Carp: Carp are starting to become more active again. Boilies with fruity or sweet flavours can be effective. Fish mainly in the afternoon hours when the water is warmed up.

Predatory fish: Please note, there is currently a closed season for predatory fish! At this time, you are not allowed to fish for pike and all types of artificial bait are prohibited. For more information and rules, visit Sportvisserijnederland.nl

🧰 Practical tips for this week

Clothing: Work in layers – thermals, fleece and a raincoat. Hat and gloves are still advisable in the early hours.

Gear: Check your lines, hooks and leaders. With the increasing activity you don't want gear failure.

Safety: Be aware of slippery conditions along the bank after rain. Good shoes with grip are essential.
